Recently elected to fill the vacancy that is being left by Martin Sabo, who is retiring after his 28 years in Congress, is Democrat Keith Ellison who will be representing Minnesota’s 5th District, when he is sworn in January 2007.
Mr. Ellison will make history as the first Muslim to ever sit in Congress. So…what is the problem some people ask???

Well....we're waiting with baited breathe...what is the new "Plan and Direction" for America? Come on....spill your guts.....haven't you always said "America has a right to know"....so...WE WANT TO KNOW! Remember...NO SECRETS ALLOWED...it doesn't matter that the terrorists are watching...they want to know your plans, too!!!
No calling foul now...it doesn't work that way!! Haven't you been the ones that cared little for "national and security secrets in our "war on terror"..wanting every little detail "leaked" so that the terrorists could alter their plans? Of course, you claimed our "right to know", but WE ALL know better!!
You have been so intent on hating President Bush that you could not see the forest thru the trees...you never really wanted us to win, you have put our soldiers in jepordy and risked their lives, you have risked our national security all for your "hate filled egos"!!! So now, WE THE PEOPLE will hold YOUR FEET TO THE FIRE!!!
Cut and run in the war...we will be there, raise our taxes...we will be there, open our borders and not control the illegal problem...we will be there, continue in your attempts to defame our military and cut their budgets...we will be there, attempt to shun the traditional values of America...we will be there!!

I watched Senator Lieberman on Meet the Press this morning, thought he was thoughtful and true to his beliefs. It is amazing, however, that the invitation by Tim Russert to Pelosi and Reid were declined! Hmmmm.....you would think they would be so joyous and jubilient they would JUMP at the chance to gloat....well, maybe they are still in the room strategizing at the Democratic Dilemma
Well, the election is over...almost!! With heavy heart I watched as the Dems slowly crept up and took over the House! As they needed fewer and fewer seats I paced, I screamed at my tv, I thought...this CANNOT be happening! After midnight I finally went to bed, hoping that I would wake up and realize I had just been in the middle of a nightmare and none of what I "thought" I saw the previous evening was real!! But, alas, it WAS REAL and so I feel we are now in the middle of a two year nightmare that we cannot escape from!!
What now? Well, let's look at something...Congress (House) basically is in control of all "legislative powers" in the government and basically holds the "purse strings"! They are responsible for maintaining our military, declaring war, regulating interstate and foreign commerce, and control federal taxing and spending!! The constitution also allows the Congress to "make all laws which shall be necessary and proper" along with a rarely used power to amend the constitution!!
If the above doesn't scare you, it definitely should! MOST of the Democrats that are in power today are not the typical democrat, they are far left social progressive Democrats (the FLLD's - Far Left Leaning Democrat) or more to the point...Howard Dean Democrats..the Deaniacs! THESE type of people are dangerous to our country and it's security!!!
Luckily, Congress is elected every two years and therefore we must be very vigilant to make sure that our country is not being given away, taken away and/or left unprotected!!! Stay on top of this folks...keep watch and let's keep demanding our representatives work for the best interest of the United States of America and the US Citizens!!!
